Read MoreDD Waiver – how to find draft chapters
Here is where to find the proposed chapters of the next waivers Regulations/Standards.
Looking at the budget one, it is interesting what the assumptions are for the different ‘levels’ which I think are left over from the SIS. I wonder when those will go away? Also, look at the cost of Supported Living vs Family Living. We are certainly a cheaper service, and I think a better form of care, if it is possible to do.
Later this year the website actnewmexico.com will be going away with all content going over to a new website that DOH is putting together for all of its divisions. If you are paranoid, you might want to download anything that you think might get lost in the move.

Good morning,
I have been trolling the ACT NM website looking for the draft chapters to be released. Gayla Delgado assured me that they were there this morning but when I still could not find, she the link below this email.
You will need to scroll down the page to find the draft chapters to be discussed at next week’s meeting.
Please share far and wide.
Thank you,
Richard Weigle

ALERT: Senate about to pass bad health care bill!
This is FYI. Please pass it on to anyone…….family members, colleagues, clients, patients…….with an interest in what is happening to the people we serve with disabilities. Thanks.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Sounds like fun for those who are into such things. Those balloons are certainly beautiful but I live on their landing path and get one dropping in on me about every two years, and they always fly over, so I don’t even have to leave home to enjoy them.

DDSD is rewriting the standards to go into the new waiver. Remember, the waiver has to be renewed every 3 to 5 years, with extensions if necessary, and everything gets tweeked each time this is done, both to fix problems, and to make CMS happier with it.
These meetings (7/19, 8/16, and 9/20) are to go over various chapters with people who are most interested in that area. The flyer tells what areas are to be covered each day. All meetings will be a Metro, corner of San Mateo and Central. Parking can be horrid, so if you want to go, get there early to get a space and a seat.
